So the first criterion for assessment two
is a description of the online activity, assessment or resource including
specifics about what the students and the teacher would have to do. So that's the main thing
that you'll be looking at, when you are peer assessing
your peer's assessment. And there are four standards in
relation to that particular criterion. The first one is whether they
answered the question at all. So if they missed the question,
or didn't answer it at all, there's an empty text box, or for some reason it's missed, that's when you
would select this particular criterion. Now, the developing criterion is, sorry,
the developing standard is the next one. And that's where they're describing
the online activity, the assessment or the resource, so they can choose which
of the three they want to do for the assessment. But they didn't specifically specify
what the role of the teacher is or the role of the student. So for
example they might have said that for their particular course they're
going to introduce a blog. The blog might be being used for personal reflection of the students
in that particular course. But they might have not actually gone
in to specify what the teacher would do in relation to the blog, or really
what the expectations of the students would be other than just saying,
I'm planning to use a blog in this course. So if they don't really get into
what the activity is in terms of what the students will specifically do or
the teacher would do, but they've described that it is an activity
in terms of using a blog, for an activity aspect rather than an assessment then you
would select that particular standard. Now in the case that they have not
only identified the particular activity assessment or resource we can
use the blog as the example again. But now they've actually specified
either what the teacher is going to do. So for instance, maybe the teacher is
going to go and look at everybody's blogs, and provide some feedback to it. Or specified instead what
the students would do. Students, for example,
might be making a contribution every week, reflecting on the content of
the week in their course. And maybe also going and
commenting on each other's blogs. So when they're getting into that
description of either what the teacher will do or what the student does in
relation to the particular online activity, assessment or resource,
you would select the achieved standard. Now in the case that they have not only
described what the teacher will do, but they've also described what
the student will do, so both perspectives for
the particular online activity resource or assessment task, then you would select
the standard where it says outstanding. So those are the four main standards for
the first criterion. And it's very much just looking at did
they really describe what the student and the teacher would do,
in which case it would be outstanding. If it was only one of the two,
then it would be achieved. And if they just really talked mostly
about the actual activity, assessment or resource, but didn't really get into
the specifics of what the student or the teacher would do,
that would be developing.
