things into a conversation. It's the impersonal verb hay. It occurs with other nouns and
presents them and it usually occurs without articles or if there's an article there it has to be an indefinite article. And the form never varies, its always hay. It's both singular and plural and it's translated into English as there is, there are. Let's look at some examples, [FOREIGN] [FOREIGN]. There are people. There are children in the plaza during the night. [FOREIGN] There's a really interesting picture, movie going on at the theater. [FOREIGN] Is there a theater piece tonight? [FOREIGN] What's going on in the central plaza?
